But the biggest disadvantage is that it is easy to be oiled. In layman’s terms, after a period of use, the surface of the keys looks polished and shiny, and the sensory and physical sensations will be greatly reduced.

PBT:

PBT is a matte material with a darker color. The advantage is that it is very wear-resistant, which greatly prolongs the time for oiling. Solved the shortcomings of ordinary PBT keycaps that are not delicate enough, and the advantages of ordinary PBT keycaps are high temperature resistance, no oiling, the disadvantage is that it is not easy to shape, the feel is not delicate enough, and the cost is much higher than ABS.

POM:

High hardness, excellent wear resistance, and self-lubricating properties. POM and PBT are somewhat similar in general, but the hand feel is more slippery than PBT, and it is not dry enough. Due to the high cost of construction, few manufacturers currently use it. Students in need can consider entering third-party customized keycaps.

CNC Machined Aluminum Mechanical Keyboard Case Precautions

-First, we choose the right materials to work with: CNCJY recommends using AL6061-T6 aluminum and AL6063-T6 aluminum for the mechanical keyboard so that it feels better and looks better. The cost of making these two models is also low, and the quality of the materials is the aluminum shell of the mechanical keyboard needs to be sandblasted. The keyboard is made of both new and used materials. AL6063 is made of more aluminum than AL6061. The better choice is AL6063. If you choose this model, the texture will be better.

-Things to watch out for during processing: Because of problems with product volume and processing time, we chose 20 milling cutters and increased the Z-axis feed in the adjustment stage. This made the processing 30% more efficient and made sure the mechanical keyboard would work. The aluminum shell’s surface should have as few knife marks and joint marks as possible. We cut down on the number of knife connections, fine-tuned the R angle of the art line, and used the PCD polishing knife for one-time processing.

-After the machining center has done its work on the aluminum shell of a mechanical keyboard, the product is only halfway done. We have to clean the lower acute angle by hand with a 400# sponge to keep the angle from becoming smooth after oxidation and to keep the oxide layer from falling off 

-We will also clean with clean water to keep the cutting fluid from rusting.
